DATA PROTECTION NOTICE

DATA PROTECTION NOTICE –  “Vogue Italia x REVESTO – Fashion Canvas

Your personal details such as name and surname, nationality, date of birth, email address, telephone number, portfolio, academic and professional experience, your image and/or voice (hereinafter “Data”) provided when you submit your application for the scouting initiative “Vogue Italia x REVESTO – Fashion Canvas” (hereinafter the “Initiative”), as well as any further data provided in the context of your participation in the Initiative, will be processed by Edizioni Condé Nast S.p.A. (Condé Nast), with legal headquarters at Piazzale Luigi Cadorna 5, Milan (Italy), and by Svimark s.r.l.. (REVESTO), with registered office in via Salvatore Matarrese 10, 70124, Bari (BA), as independent controllers of the data processing (hereinafter also referred to  together as “Independent Controllers”) in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 regarding the protection of personal data and the relevant legislation for its implementation (hereinafter  referred to together as the “Regulation”) and with the rules established in this policy. 

1. PURPOSE AND DURATION OF PROCESSING 

Each Independent Controller will collect and process Data for the following purposes: 

(i) to evaluate your application and the existence of the necessary requirements for the admission to the Initiative, as indicated in the Terms and Conditions of the Initiative; 

(ii) to send communications regarding the Initiative, as well as any requests for further information regarding your application and participation in the Initiative;

(iii) to receive and manage any requests that you could submit as potential participant; 

(iv) to select and proclaim the winners and to manage the prize attribution;

(v) in general, to fulfill all the steps/phases related to the Initiative; 

(vi) to fulfill the legal obligations as well as the right of each Independent Controller to exercise their rights, such as the  right to a legal defence. 

The Data will be processed and retained for the purposes set out in points (i), (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) for the entire duration of the Initiative and prize attribution. 

The Data will be processed and retained for the purposes set out in point (vi) within the time period established by the law. 

2. LAWFUL BASIS DATA FOR PROCESSING 

The processing of Data for the purposes set out in points (i), (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) of the preceding paragraph will be carried out by each Independent Controller to enable you to participate in the Initiative, for the performance of all steps/phases related to the Initiative, including service communications and support activities, as well as to enable you to receive and use the prize(s) won (in case you will choose by the jury). The release of  the Data for these purposes is essential for the uses mentioned above, and therefore do not require Your express consent (pursuant to Article 6.1 letter (b) of the Rules). 

We ask you not to provide us with information which could be considered “special category” data, such as  your medical information or information which reveal your religious or political beliefs, trade union  membership or sexual orientation. 

The processing of Data for the purposes set out in point (vi) is carried out to fulfil legal obligations and to protect each Independent controller in case of litigation, and therefore does not require your express consent.  

3. DATA COMMUNICATION, DIFFUSION AND INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER

Data will be processed by each Independent Controller using manual, telematic and computer-based tools, which  will nonetheless provide adequate measures to guarantee security and to impede access by non-authorised  parties. Data may be transferred exclusively for the purposes described above, to the following subjects:  

a) to the Jury members for the evaluation of the projects and the selection of the winners; 

b) to persons, companies, associations or professional studios who provide assistance and consultation services to the Independent controllers, especially, but not exclusively, as regards accounting, administrative, legal, tax related and financial services;  

c) other companies within each Independent Controller group, including, where permitted by applicable law, to enable such companies to process your personal data for purposes that are consistent with this Data Protection Notice;

d) competent public authorities (such as tax and judicial authorities) where the Independent Controller believes this is required by law and, more generally, subjects whose authority to access the Data is recognised by law or by secondary legislation.  

These subjects act as Data processors, or as Data controllers. You may request the directory of subjects to  whom your Data will or may be transferred using the contacts indicated below. 

Each Independent Controller may transfer your Data to a location outside Italy or the country in which you are located, including to countries that do not offer the same level of protection with respect to personal data as is required in the European Union. For example, Condé Nast may transfer your Data to other companies in the Condé Nast corporate group in the United States and Svimark may transfer your data to external partner companies for the development of the REVESTO software. When an Independent Controller transfers personal data, it will take steps to protect your Data when it is transferred, including through the use of contractual safeguards. For further information about the measures in place to protect personal data when it is transferred, please contact the Independent Controllers using the relevant details below.

5. YOUR RIGHTS 

We remind you that in the cases provided for by law, you have the right to:  

a) obtain information regarding the existence of Data and the reason for its processing, how long it will be  retained, and the subjected to whom it will be transferred; 

b) receive the Data collected regarding you in a standard, interoperable format that is readable by electronic  devices;  

c) limit or oppose some or all processing at any time;  

d) have incorrect personal data rectified or incomplete personal data completed;  

e) have Data deleted within a reasonable time frame.  

Finally, we also remind you that you have the right to contact the Italian Data Protection Authority (Piazza  Venezia 11 – 00186 Rome, Italy) to exercise your rights regarding the processing of your Data.
