THREAD RETURNS TO MILAN
After its first edition, THREAD returns to Milan with a second chapter that confirms its nature: not simply an event, but a living space where tailoring becomes a political, creative and collective act.
The setting is Fondazione Sozzani, a symbolic place for visual culture and contemporary experimentation. Here, between archive and research, THREAD once again found its natural habitat: an open dialogue between the past and the future of fashion. The guest of this second edition was Simon Cracker, the Milan-based brand founded by Simone Botte and Filippo Biraghi, known for its radical and poetic approach to responsible fashion.
Simon Cracker: irony, archive and gentle revolution
Simon Cracker does not follow seasons.
It does not chase trends.
It deconstructs them.
Their aesthetic signature is immediately recognizable: deconstructed classic tailoring silhouettes ironic and irreverent messages a constant balance between couture and punk Behind the irony lies a very clear reflection: fashion can be desirable without being destructive.
It can be powerful without being serial.
Simon Cracker does not speak about sustainability as a slogan.
They practice it through upcycling, reworking the existing, reactivating the archive.
And it is precisely this vision that made their presence at THREAD perfectly aligned with the soul of Revesto
Tailoring as a collective gesture
During the days of THREAD, the space transformed into an open laboratory.
Emerging designers, students, enthusiasts and curious minds took part in upcycling workshops led by the Simon Cracker team and the Revesto team. Not a frontal lesson, but a shared process.
Each participant worked on a garment brought from home or selected on site, learning that transformation is not only technical, but cultural.
At the same time, a curated selection of Simon Cracker archive pieces was made available: iconic, one-of-a-kind garments – tangible proof that a piece of clothing can live more than one life.
THREAD: more than an event
With this second edition, THREAD consolidates its identity: a meeting point between archive, experimentation and future.
Together with Fondazione Sozzani and Simon Cracker, Revesto continues to build a space where independent fashion finds voice, body and community.
Because true luxury today is not about having more. It is about transforming better.
And THREAD was created exactly for this.
